David Warner has also said goodbye to ODI cricket. Warner had earlier announced his retirement from Test cricket. The Test series being played against Pakistan is the last red ball series of Warner’s career in international cricket. But before that he has said goodbye to the ODI format. Warner has made many big records for Australia in his ODI career. Let us know some of them.

1- Warner is the sixth batsman to score the most runs in ODI cricket for Australia. He played 161 ODI matches in his career, batting in 159 innings and scoring 6,932 runs at an average of 45.30. During this period, he has scored 22 centuries and 33 half-centuries.

2- Warner is the third batsman with the highest average run scorer in ODIs for Australia. Among Australian batsmen who have scored at least 1,000 runs in ODIs,

3- Warner has the third highest average run scorer. The left-handed Australian batsman has an ODI average of 45.30. He is behind only Michael Bevan and Michael Hussey, whose ODI batting averages are 53.58 and 48.15 respectively.

4- Warner is the fastest batsman for Australia to score 4,000, 5,000 and 6,000 ODI runs. After this, he would have also become the fastest Australian batsman to score 7,000 ODI runs, but he retired.

5- Warner was the highest run-scorer for Australia in the ODI World Cup 2023 played in India. The Australian batsman had scored 535 runs in 11 matches at an average of 48.63. During this period he had scored 2 centuries and 2 half-centuries.

6- Earlier, in the 2019 ODI World Cup, Warner had scored 647 runs. Warner became the first Australian batsman to score 500 or more runs in two editions of the World Cup.

7- Warner is the second highest run-scorer for Australia in the World Cup, scoring 1,527 runs at an average of 56.55 in the tournament. He is behind only former Australian legend Ricky Ponting, who scored 1,743 World Cup runs in his career.

8- Warner is the Australian batsman who has scored the maximum number of 6 centuries in the World Cup. Warner is the joint fastest batsman to score 1,000 runs in the World Cup. He took 19 innings to reach the 1,000 run mark.

9- Warner is the 10th batsman in the world to score the most centuries in his ODI career. He scored 22 centuries in his ODI career.

10- Warner is the second batsman in the world to score the maximum number of centuries in a calendar year, 7 centuries. In 2016, he scored 7 ODI centuries. In this list, former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar is at the top position with 9 centuries, who had scored 9 centuries in 1998.
