According to the India Meteorological Department, due to dense fog in different areas of Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Western Rajasthan and Eastern Rajasthan till 8.30 am on Sunday (7 January). Visibility level was recorded from 25 to 50 meters. There is a possibility of visibility record of less than 50 meters at some places. There are chances of getting relief from dense fog after January 10.
According to IMD, during the next 24 hours, dense to very dense fog and cold day conditions may persist in some areas of Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Western Rajasthan and Eastern Rajasthan. After this, i.e. from January 9, there is hope that there will be some relief gradually from the dense fog and extremely cold days. There is a possibility of light rain in some areas of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during the night of 8 January and morning of 9 January.
Hail and thunderstorm forecast
Apart from this, according to meteorologists, there is a possibility of thunderstorm along with hailstorm at different places in North-West and Central India, Eastern Rajasthan and Western Madhya Pradesh. There is also a strong possibility of rain on 8th and 9th January. Thunderstorm has been predicted in Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh on the night of 8th January and 9th January.
There will be heavy rain in Tamil Nadu and Kerala
Light to moderate rain has been predicted in southern peninsular India. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with heavy rain at some places in Tamil Nadu during the next 4 days and Kerala for the next 2 days.
Heavy rain forecast in coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh
