Shaitaan Movie Review: When the trailer of Shaitaan came, it seemed that it would be a ruckus film. What is Madhavan going to do…How will Ajay save his family… Although this is a remake of the Gujarati film Vash released in 2023, perhaps not many Hindi audiences have seen this film and this is the reason why there is a need to watch this film. The excitement has been building since the trailer. The first half of the film is also tremendous, it keeps you tied to your seat. Madhavan gives a nod but then towards the end things get a bit messy.

Story:
Ajay Devgan is going for a holiday at his farm house with his wife, daughter and son. On the way, we stop at a dhaba to eat food. There Madhavan feeds something to his daughter and takes her under his control. After this Madhavan reaches their farm house and what happens next shakes you.
Madhavan wants to take their daughter with him but as per the wish of the parents and how can the parents donate their daughter. Madhavan tortures the family a lot and in the end how Ajay saves his family. Now it is a Hindi film, if the hero has to win then he will save. This is the story.
How is the film? Â
The film starts and soon comes to the point. As soon as Madhavan enters, you start feeling that something wrong is going to happen and as soon as it all starts. You are surprised. Unable to get up from the seat. Until Madhavan tortures Ajay’s family. Every scene shakes you.
The first half is tremendous. In the second half, as long as Madhavan stays at his house, the film remains on track, but then when the film progresses towards the climax, it seems as if a dish was being prepared well but then it was spoiled by adding wrong spices to it. There are some scenes which seem childish. It seems like how could this happen to such a big devil.
The climax of the film seems light and by the end you start feeling that this is a great film and a one-time watch. Black magic and vashikaran have been talked about in the film and a disclaimer has been given repeatedly that the film does not promote it but the film itself is based on this issue, so now you can decide for yourself whether black magic exists or not.
Acting
R Madhavan is the life of this film. The way they torture Ajay’s family. You can’t see. Maddy from Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, who has created a soft corner in our hearts, makes us angry. His actions disturb you and this is the success of Madhavan’s character. He has played the negative role with great enthusiasm. A
jay Devgan’s work is good as always. Here too he acts with his eyes and fits into his character. Jyotika looks good in the role of Ajay’s wife. The character of Ajay’s daughter is played by Janaki Bodiwala.
She also played this character in the original version of this film, Vash, and she is very solid. Madhavan and he can be called the main characters of this film. Angad Raj looks cute in the role of Ajay’s son and it is fun to watch him.
Direction:
Vikas Bahl’s direction is good but if Krishnadev Yagnik had written the screenplay better in the second half, it would have made a great film. The way Vikas has used Madhavan is praiseworthy. Only a good director can make better use of a good actor and Vikas has shown this. 80 percent of this film takes place in one house but does not let you move. The credit for this should go to the director only, but the remaining 20 percent breaks your expectations and this responsibility should also be on the director.
The question about such films is how scary they are , how much they scare, so the answer is yes, you will feel scared. My friend Varun, who was sitting with me, is scared of watching horror movies and he also got scared during this movie and he said let’s talk about something else. If you are feeling scared, then those with a weak heart should think carefully.
