IPL 2024 PBKS vs DC: The second match of IPL 2024 was played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium in Chandigarh. Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and invited Delhi Capitals to bat first. Although Delhi struggled in batting, in the last over Abhishek Porel hit 25 runs in Harshal Patel’s over to take Delhi to a score of 174 runs. Punjab, chasing the target, got off to a fast start. Wickets kept falling from one end, but Sam Curran stayed at the crease till the last overs and led the team to victory. Punjab Kings defeated Delhi Capitals by 4 wickets.

Delhi Capitals gave a target of 174 runs
David Warner and Mitchell Marsh started the innings for Delhi Capitals. Both Australian players gave Delhi a great start. Warner scored 29 runs off 21 balls and Marsh scored 20 runs in 12 balls playing a stormy innings. Rishabh Pant was making a comeback after a long time, but he returned to the pavilion after scoring 18 runs in 13 balls. Shai Hope also contributed 33 runs in 25 balls, but Abhishek Porel impressed the most. Abhishek scored 32 runs in just 10 balls, which included 4 fours and 2 sixes. Prabhsimran Singh scored 26 runs in 17 balls, but Sam Curran’s sensible innings kept Punjab Kings in the match. He scored 63 runs in 47 balls. Meanwhile, Khaleel Ahmed made the match exciting by taking 2 wickets in a row in the 19th over. Punjab Kings eventually won by 4 wickets thanks to Liam Livingstone’s innings of 38 runs in 21 balls.
