ICICI Bank Advisory for customers: ICICI Bank has issued an advisory for users. It says that users should be alert to any fake links and files as these can be the tricks of cyber criminals. Along with this, the bank has also shared some tips for users, which can help in avoiding online fraud. The bank says that many such cases are being seen in which users have suffered huge losses after clicking on the link. 

ICICI Bank issued an advisory saying that scammers extract OTP from your mobile and take control of the smartphone. In this way, scammers not only steal data but can also empty your account. The bank tells its customers that it never asks its customers to call on the mobile number or download an app, nor does it send any SMS or WhatsApp message related to it. The bank has also shared some tips regarding this. 

You can follow these tips

• The first thing you should do is to update your mobile with the latest operating system and security patch.
• Secondly, it is important for you that if you are installing any app then always do it from Google Play Store or Apple Play Store only.
• Third, install anti-virus or security software only from a trusted provider and keep installing it from time to time.
• Whenever an application asks for permission, verify it first.
• Apart from this, do not click on any suspicious link received through message or email.
• Do not download applications from any unknown sources.
• Along with this, do not share OTP, password, PIN or card number with anyone even by mistake.
• If any fraud occurs then immediately inform the National Cyber ​​Crime Portal.
