Parakala Prabhakar on Election: Economist Parakala Prabhakar has claimed that if BJP wins the Lok Sabha elections this year , there will be no re-elections in the country. This statement of Parakala, husband of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, is becoming increasingly viral on social media. The country’s main opposition party Congress itself has shared the video of Parakala Prabhakar’s statement. He even claimed that a situation like Manipur can happen in the entire country.
Sharing the 1.49 minute video of Parakala on social media platform X, the Congress said, “If Modi becomes the Prime Minister again in 2024, then there will never be elections in the country again. The Constitution of the country will change. Modi himself will give a hate speech from the Red Fort and a situation like Ladakh-Manipur will arise in the entire country – Parakala Prabhakar.” The party further said, “Parakala ji is a well-known economist and the husband of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.”
There will be no elections in 2029: Parakala Prabhakar
In fact, economist Parakala Prabhakar gave an interview to a YouTube channel, where he was asked what would happen if a government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is formed for the third time in the country? In response to this, he said, “If this happens then there is a possibility that you cannot expect another election. If this government comes back after the 2024 elections, then there will be no elections after that.”

Parakala Prabhakar further said, “The constitution and map of the country that you have right now will completely change. You will not even be able to recognize it. The talks that you are hearing from places like Dharma Sansad about sending them to Pakistan, killing them or chasing them away, you will hear those talks from the Red Fort.” The economist said, “There will be an open game about such things. This is the biggest danger.”

Nirmala Sitharaman’s husband Parakala also warned of a situation like Manipur arising in the entire country. He said, “Right now you feel that violence is happening in Manipur, so there is no possibility of it happening here. You don’t need to think like this, because what is happening in Manipur today, can happen in your or our state tomorrow. The situation in Ladakh, Manipur right now or the way farmers have been treated, will happen in the entire country.”
