Elon Musk India Visit: Elon Musk, the owner of the world’s largest electric car manufacturing company Tesla and one of the world’s richest people, has postponed his visit to India. Elon Musk was scheduled to visit India for the first time on 21 and 22 April, which he has postponed for now. Musk himself has confirmed this through his X-post. Musk has also given the reason behind cancelling his India visit.

Sharing this information on his official X handle, Elon Musk posted that due to some big responsibilities of Tesla, he has postponed his India visit for the time being. He also said that he is very excited to visit India by the end of this year.
Actually, Elon Musk needs to be present in America on 23 April to answer the questions of Tesla investors. Tesla has recently released its quarterly results. The company has faced a decline in sales in recent months. In such a situation, the investors and shareholders of the company are getting worried. If Musk had been in India on 21-22 April, it would have been difficult for him to be present in the investors call on 23 April.
It is worth noting that during his India visit, Elon Musk was going to announce many plans for Tesla in India like manufacturing unit and satellite communication. Media reports had claimed that he could announce an investment of Rs 25,000 crore in India.
He had said that he would come to India on 10 April
Earlier, Elon Musk had informed in his tweet on April 10 that he is very excited to meet Prime Minister Modi. A few days before the announcement of Musk’s visit to India, the Government of India had come up with a new EV policy. This policy has made it easier for foreign companies to set up EV plants in the country. In its new EV policy, the government has talked about giving exemption in import duty to those foreign companies who will invest more than $ 500 million in the country.
Apart from Tesla, Elon Musk has also been trying for a long time to enter Starlink in India. According to a Bloomberg report, the central government has assured Starlink that it will be able to start its operations in the country by the third quarter. Apart from this, in February, the government approved FDI to promote the space sector. Since then, speculations about SpaceX’s entry in India have intensified.Â
