Queen Elizabeth II Range Rover: A Range Rover once used by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II is now up for auction. Bramley Auctioneers has listed the Laurier Blue Range Rover, with ivory leather interior, on its website with an asking price of £224,850 (over Rs 2 crore). The auction house also shared pictures of the car on Instagram, in which former US President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama are shown sitting in it.
This car is very attractive
Specifically, this car was part of the Royal Household’s fleet in 2016 and 2017. “As a fine example, this model would be an excellent option for any museum,” the auction house wrote on Instagram. According to the official website, this car has been specially built for royal uses as a “true land boat”.
It is equipped with convertible lighting, specially updated fixed steps and police emergency lighting, as well as special modifications commissioned by Her Majesty the Queen to make the car more accessible. “This luxurious motorcar has been given a Black Diamond leather interior, which looks quite attractive with the exclusive Black Badge carbon fiber trim.
Equipped with many modifications
On the website, the “optional extra features” included with the car are also listed, which include “Shooting Star Headliner, RR Monogram to Headrests, Massage Seats, Privacy Glass, Driver Assistance System”.
Additionally, the car also “delivers the balance of the Rolls-Royce warranty and requires no servicing until March 2024.” The car’s meter reads 18,000 miles. In another nod to its royal history, it also has the same number plate used by Queen Elizabeth II.”
Will get original number plate
Land Rovers and Range Rovers that have seen service with the Royal Household usually always have the vehicle registration number retired after service, this is because information about the person who previously used a vehicle is lost. Can never be confirmed. But, the original registration number has been retained in it, which makes it special.
The car has been photographed several times during royal events, including the state visit of former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle in April 2016. Obama was taken in the same car with the late monarch and Prince Philip after arriving at Windsor Castle for a private lunch.
