Mahindra Scorpio N Feature Cut: As a part of integrated material cost reduction changes, Mahindra has removed some features from the lower variants of Scorpio-N. Most of the features have been introduced in the mid-spec Mahindra Scorpio N. Whereas some minor features have also been removed in the Z4 variant.
Which features were cut?
The Mahindra Scorpio N Z6 variant was previously equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Mahindra’s AdrenoX interface. This infotainment unit supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as connected car features and built-in Alexa with voice assist. This variant was also equipped with a 7-inch TFT multi-information display in the instrument console. Now instead of an 8-inch screen, the Scorpio N Z6 is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. This unit supports wired Android Auto and Apple Car Play only. It also does not have connected car features. Instead of the 7-inch MID, the instrument console of the Z6 trim now features a 4.2-inch monochrome display. Cooled glovebox was previously available as standard fitment. This feature will now be available only with the top-spec Z8 and Z8L variants.
powertrain
The new Mahindra Scorpio N is available with two engine options, which include a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The turbo petrol unit is capable of generating 203PS of power and 380Nm of torque. Whereas the diesel engine gives two outputs 132PS/300Nm and 175PS/400Nm. Transmission options include 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic. Some diesel variants are also available with 4WD drivetrain.
The price also increased
Mahindra has also increased the price of Z6 trim by Rs 31,000. The ex-showroom price of Mahindra Scorpio N now ranges between Rs 13.26 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh. This SUV competes with Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
