Tata Curvv: Tata Curve concept-based coupe SUV is one of the new cars to be launched this year. Tata Motors has officially confirmed that the model will initially be offered with an electric powertrain, after which its ICE version will also be launched. The production of Curve EV may begin in April, which will be launched in the market in the second half of 2024. This upcoming electric coupe SUV will be produced at Tata’s facility in Ranjangaon near Pune.
Tata Curve Diesel
Tata Motors has set a sales target of around 48,000 units for the Curve SUV, which includes 12,000 units of its electric edition. According to recent reports, this coupe SUV is expected to get the Nexon’s 1.5L turbo diesel engine, which generates outputs of 115bhp and 260Nm. It will have the option of 6-speed manual and an AMT.
Tata Curve Petrol
Tata’s new 1.2L, 3-cylinder engine will be introduced in the Curve. Which was introduced in last year’s Auto Expo. This engine generates maximum power of 125PS at 5,000rpm and torque of 225Nm between 1700rpm and 3500rpm. This engine can run on petrol and E20 ethanol petrol mix fuel.
The new petrol engine is made entirely of aluminium, featuring an advanced ICE system and high pressure direct injection technology. For transmission, manual unit and 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox can be available.
Tata Curve EV range
Curve EV can get a range of more than 500 km. The electric coupe SUV will be based on Tata’s new Acti.ev platform, which was recently introduced with the Punch EV. This architecture supports multiple body styles and powertrains. It is likely to get a large battery pack, all-wheel drive system and dual-motor setup.
