‘Chennai Express’ completes 11 years of its release
The film’s promo was shared on Red Chillies Entertainment’s Instagram page. Its caption read, ‘Romance, action, thriller and laughter will always be our favourites. Celebrating the 11th year of Chennai Express.’
Chennai Express, directed by Rohit Shetty and released on 8 August 2013, was made under the banner Red Chillies Entertainment, owned by Shahrukh and Gauri Khan. The music of the film was given by Vishal-Shekhar. Honey Singh gave a chartbuster song like ‘Lungi Dance’ which paid tribute to Rajinikanth.
Apart from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, actors like Nikitin Dheer, Yogi Babu, Satyaraj, Mukesh Tiwari were seen in the film. The film was mostly full of South stars because this film was made on South Indians.

But that would have been the same, so Rohit made the goons board the train after the scene of Deepika boarding the train.
5. ‘Chennai Express’ was earlier named ‘Ready Steady Go’ but the name did not suit it. Its title song could not be made, after which the name was changed.
6. Katrina Kaif was Rohit’s first choice for this film . But this role was given to Deepika Padukone and not only the audience liked her but the critics also praised her acting.
