Industry Reacts: “Gone Too Soon”

As soon as the news broke, tributes started pouring in from across the entertainment industry.

Actor Manoj Bajpayee wrote an emotional note:

“What I feel today cannot be expressed in words. Mukul was more than a colleague, he was my brother. Warm, passionate, and full of life. This is an unbearable loss.”

Actor Vindu Dara Singh, who worked with him in Son of Sardaar, shared a touching video on X (formerly Twitter):

“You brought laughter, light, and energy everywhere you went. Your last song in Son of Sardaar 2 will now feel like a final goodbye.”

Actor Mukesh Rishi, another longtime friend, recalled their work in South Indian films together:

“I’m shattered. We met frequently and shared many memories on set. I still can’t believe he’s gone.”

Actress Deepshikha Nagpal, visibly emotional, shared:

“I’ve been calling his number all morning, hoping he’ll pick up. He never told us how unwell he really was.”

Health Struggles: A Battle Fought Quietly

According to friends close to the actor, Mukul Dev’s health had been declining in recent months. He was battling post-COVID anxiety, a concern echoed by Vindu Dara Singh.

“He used to be very scared after COVID,” Vindu shared. “We tried to keep him active. When he came to us, he weighed 125 kilos. We worked with him to bring it down. He improved, but soon returned to old habits.”

While the official cause of death is not confirmed, sources close to the family indicated that he suffered a massive heart attack during his ICU stay.

Remembering Mukul Dev’s Legacy

Mukul Dev’s versatility was his greatest strength. Whether playing a cop, a villain, or a comic role, he brought intensity and authenticity to every character.

Here are some things Mukul Dev will always be remembered for:

  • A pan-India actor who worked in multiple languages
  • Hosted India’s first Fear Factor season
  • Known for bringing sincerity to even minor roles
  • Maintained a low profile despite years in the spotlight

Final Goodbye

Mukul Dev’s last rites will take place on Saturday, May 24, at 5 PM in New Delhi. Friends, fans, and fellow actors are expected to attend and pay their respects to a man whose work spoke louder than his words.

As the Indian film world mourns this shocking loss, one thing remains clear — Mukul Dev’s death leaves a void that will not be easily filled.

A Star Who Lived Quietly, Acted Loudly

In an industry that often celebrates glamour, Mukul Dev stood out for his substance and sincerity. His passing is a painful reminder of the fragile nature of life — and of the brilliance that sometimes fades too soon.

Rest in peace, Mukul Dev. Your performances will continue to live on.
