National Film Awards 2024: South star Rishabh Shetty has been awarded the National Film Award for the film ‘Kantara’. All the winners were honored by the President of the country Draupadi Murmu at the National Film Awards ceremony hosted at Vigyan Bhavan in the country’s capital Delhi on Tuesday . During this, eminent personalities including Karan Johar, Neena Gupta and Mithun Chakraborty attended the ceremony.

Rishabh Shetty was awarded the Best Actor title for ‘Kantara’. The actor’s happiness knows no bounds. According to Pinkvilla, the actor expressed his happiness after receiving the award. He said- ‘I am very happy. We have won not one but two awards, which has made this moment even more enjoyable.’

Talking to the media, the ‘Kantara’ actor further said- ‘Every film has an impact. Our aim is to make films that bring change or impact in the society. I thank the audience. National Awards are very prestigious awards for an artist.’
Karan Johar was also honored
Filmmaker and director Karan Johar was also awarded the National Award. He was given the award in the Best Film in AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) category for the film ‘Brahmastra’.
Mithun Chakraborty was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award
Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the National Film Awards ceremony. President Draupadi Murmu gave him the award with her own hands. After receiving the award, he also gave a speech and advised people to never give up.
Sooraj Barjatya and Neena Gupta also received awards
Sooraj Barjatya was also awarded the National Film Award. He received the Best Direction award for the film ‘Oonchai’. Neena Gupta won the Best Actress in Supporting Role award for ‘Oonchai’.
‘Gulmohar’ won the Best Film Award
Rahul V. Chitela’s film ‘Gulmohar’ won the Best Film Award. Malayalam film Attam was given the National Award in the Best Feature Film category and Aaina in the Non Feature Film category.
Yami Gautam’s father got the award, the actress got emotional
Yami Gautam’s father Mukesh Gautam has received the National Award for Best Director for the film Baaghi Di Dhi. In such a situation, the actress has posted a very emotional post for her father.
Nithya Menon and Manasi Parekh received the award
Nithya Menon was given the Best Actress award for the film ‘Thiruchitrubalam’ and Manasi Parekh was given the Best Actress award for Kutch Express.
