Ayushman Bharat Scheme in AIIMS Delhi:Â Under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, serious diseases are being treated completely free of cost in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. So far 23260 people have taken advantage of this scheme in the hospital.
At the same time, most of the patients suffering from heart related diseases have got free treatment. Whereas hip replacement cases are at second place. Now, Ayushman Facilitation Centers are also being opened in the hospital to benefit more patients.
In the information given by Dr. VK Bansal, Professor Incharge of PMJAY Center in AIIMS, it was said that under this scheme in AIIMS, treatment is being given in 1109 packages and 1949 methods in 27 specialties. These especially include five types of specialties: Medical Oncology, Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Orthopedics and Neurosurgery.
Not only this, to provide information about the Ayushman Bharat Scheme to the patients at AIIMS and to ease the access of patients to avail the benefits of this facility, new Ayushman facilities around Rajkumari Amrit Kaur OPD, MCH, Surgical Block, Burns and Plastic Surgery Blocks. Centers are being opened. Where patients can reach as per their convenience and get treatment easily through this scheme.
Let us tell you that for getting treatment through this cashless scheme in AIIMS, the patient does not have to pay any money from his own pocket. Treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is free with Ayushman Bharat card.
Under this, surgeries for renal transplant, knee transplant, bone marrow transplant, revised knee replacement, hip replacement, congenital heart disease and oral and maxillary special cases are being done.
