Continuing, PM Modi emphasized, “Whether serving as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the Home Minister of the country, or as an MLA, Chaudhary Charan Singh always prioritized nation-building. PV Narasimha Rao was a scholar and statesman
In his announcement of the Bharat Ratna award for former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, PM Modi stated, “I am pleased to announce that former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao Garu will be honored with the Bharat Ratna. He was not only a scholar but also a statesman. Narasimha Rao served the country in various capacities and will be remembered for his contributions as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Union Minister, MP, and MLA.”
