Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh: Jailed Gurmeet Ram Rahim has received a big shock. Now a 9-year-old file has been opened against him. The Punjab government has given its approval to file a case against Ram Rahim in the 2015 sacrilege cases. Punjab’s Bhagwant Mann government on Tuesday gave permission to file a case in three sacrilege cases. This has increased the trouble of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim. The Supreme Court had lifted the stay in the sacrilege cases four days ago.

In fact, between June and October 2015, three alleged incidents of sacrilege of the holy Guru Granth Sahib took place in Faridkot district of Punjab. An FIR was registered on June 2, 2015 at the local police station under the provisions of the IPC. It is important to note that it was necessary to take permission from the government to prosecute under Section 295A.
What is the 9 year old case?
In July 2015, Ram Rahim will be tried for the theft of the holy Bir of Sri Guru Granth Sahib from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala, and a few days later for tearing parts of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and throwing it in the streets, and in October 2015 for firing on the protestors in Bargari after parts of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib were torn in Behbal Kalan.
The Supreme Court had lifted the stay
Three days ago, the Supreme Court had given permission to run the case against Sirsa Dera chief Ram Rahim. About two and a half years ago, the police had sought permission to register a case against the Sirsa Dera chief, but the High Court had put a stay on all three cases.
Three alleged incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib took place between June and October 2015 in Faridkot district of Punjab and the first FIR was registered on June 2, 2015 at the local police station under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Gurmeet Ram Rahim: Know about the three incidents
First incident:
A Granthi of Gurdwara Singh Sahib located in Burj Jawahar Singh Wala village had alleged that pages of Sri Guru Granth Sahib were found lying on the ground.
Second incident:
The second incident of sacrilege reportedly took place on September 24-25, 2015, in which posters with derogatory comments about the holy Guru Granth Sahib and Sikh religious leaders were pasted outside a gurdwara managed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in Bargari. Following this, an FIR was lodged at the Bajakhana police station in Faridkot.
Third incident:
The third incident of sacrilege was related to the recovery of 112 torn pages of the holy Guru Granth Sahib near a gurdwara in Bargari village of the district on October 12, 2015, for which an FIR was lodged at the Bajakhana police station.
