Hemant Soren Arrested: Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has been arrested by ED. Was interrogating him since 1 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon. After the arrest, ED will demand his custody. Champai Soren has been elected the leader of the legislature party. He will be the next CM of the state. He is JMM MLA from Seraikela. Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren was also in the race for CM but ultimately Champai Soren’s name was approved. He is currently a minister in the Jharkhand government. After meeting the Governor, the MLAs said that we have the support of 47 MLAs.
ED has so far issued summons to Hemant Soren ten times for questioning and out of them only once has he faced the questions of the investigating agency. BJP says that Hemant Soren is afraid of arrest, whereas Soren and his supporters say that they have no fear of arrest. This is all a conspiracy of BJP. In view of the questioning of CM Soren, Section 144 has been imposed in Ranchi from 9 am to 10 pm.
Hemant Soren will be presented in the court at 10 am on Thursday. Hemant Soren is currently in the ED office. There he will be interrogated for the second round. His medical will be done.
Who is Champai Soren?
Champai Soren will be the next CM of Jharkhand. He was elected the leader of the legislature party in the alliance meeting. Champai Soren is very close to Hemant Soren. Meanwhile, Hemant Soren reached Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation to the Governor.
Earlier, the name of Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren was in the race for CM, but voices of opposition were being raised in the family. Meanwhile, Champai Soren has been elected leader in the meeting of JMM, Congress and RJD legislative party.
Champai Soren is the MLA from Seraikela seat and is currently the Minister of Transport, Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste and Backward Class Welfare. He is also the vice president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Champai Soren is considered a confidant of CM Hemant Soren.
It was being speculated that CM Soren’s wife Kalpana could become the Chief Minister. However, after the meeting of the legislative party, Champai Soren was handed over the command of the post of Chief Minister. Earlier on Tuesday, Soren reached his official residence in Ranchi.

After leaving the meeting, the MLAs said that all the MLAs of the Grand Alliance had assured Hemant Soren that if he was chosen as the Chief Minister for the full 5 years, he would remain the same till the end.

The land scam case is related to the purchase and sale of land occupied by the army. Army land was bought and sold in Jharkhand on the basis of fake name and address. In this connection, the ED is interrogating Chief Minister Soren.
