Jaipur Fire Accident: CNG Truck Blast: Friday morning in Jaipur, Rajasthan started with a dreadful start, when a major road accident and a massive blast took the lives of about 50 people. A LPG truck collided with another truck near Ajmer Road in Jaipur, after which there was an explosion and fire spread all around. In this accident, 11 people were reported to have been burnt alive while more than 40 people have been burnt.
After some time, by 11 am the death toll rose to seven. Not only this, 40 vehicles were also burnt to ashes. There were passengers in these vehicles, who somehow saved their lives by running away.

As soon as the news of this accident that happened at 5 am in Jaipur’s Bhankrota area reached the police, the fire brigade and police teams immediately rushed for relief and rescue work. The fire was so horrific that many fire department vehicles were engaged in extinguishing it for several hours. Those who could escape and save their lives were lucky. However, 6 people did not get a chance to save their lives. Many people could not even come out of the vehicles.
Jaipur Fire Accident: How did the accident happen?
- According to the information received by ByNewsIndia.Com, around 5:30 am, two trucks collided near Bhankrotak D Clothon, after which there was a massive blast in the CNG tank. This engulfed the nearby vehicles.
- A bus full of passengers also got caught in this fire. Some people got off the bus in time and saved their lives, while more than 35 people were seriously injured. They were rescued by the Civil Defense team with the help of local people, and admitted to the hospital.
- Some videos of the accident have also surfaced, in which fierce flames are visible. It has been learned that the people injured in this accident were taken to the emergency ward of Sawai Mansingh Hospital for admission.
- Giving information, the police officer said that there was a gas tanker nearby, due to which a huge fire broke out. At present, all the teams are engaged in extinguishing the fire and rescue.
- Due to the fire, the Jaipur Express Highway was completely jammed. As soon as the gas tanker blasted, the nearby vehicles also got caught in it.
- Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma also reached SMS Hospital, where the injured have been admitted for treatment.
- There is a DPS school near the place where the gas tanker caught fire. The teams reaching the spot faced a lot of difficulties because the entire highway was jammed.
- Police said that the truck which hit the other vehicles was fully loaded with chemicals. The fire that broke out engulfed several trucks. The number of trucks involved in the incident is not clear.
- Some injured people were taken to hospitals in ambulances. The incident took place in front of a petrol pump. Fire engines reached the spot and controlled the fire.
Police said that some people have suffered burn injuries and fire brigade vehicles are trying to control the fire. According to preliminary information, the truck was loaded with chemicals, which collided with other trucks. Bhankrota police station in-charge Manish Gupta said, ‘The fire engulfed many trucks. The number of trucks is not clear yet.

Apart from this, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Govind Singh Dotasara reached SMS Hospital at 9:30 am to inquire about the well-being of the victims injured in the chemical tanker explosion accident in Jaipur and talked to the relatives of the injured. Here he enquired about the condition of the victims of the accident and assured them of all possible help.
Meanwhile, BJP state president Madan Rathore posted on social media and wrote, “Sad news has been received of many people getting burnt in the fire caused by the explosion of a chemical tanker in Bhankrota, Jaipur. May God give peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery to the injured.”

Sukhant Kumar Singh, DGM (Fire and Safety) of GAIL India Limited, said that GAIL’s pipeline is passing 100 meters away from the spot. A BPCL tanker full of LPG was going here. A loaded container hit it, due to which LPG spilled out in liquid form. Due to this, the entire area became a fireball.
Sushant Kumar Singh said that when the LPG came out due to the accident, it caught fire on its own because there was a spark when the collision took place. As soon as the blast was reported, more than 30 ambulances and fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. All the injured have been admitted to Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa and many ministers took information about the causes of the accident at the spot.
