International Women’s Day: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, PM Modi announced a big gift to the women of the country. While making the announcement, PM Modi said on Friday (08 March) that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government has decided to give a discount of Rs 100 in the prices of LPG cylinders. PM Modi gave this information on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Today, on the occasion of Women’s Day, we have taken a big decision of discount of Rs 100 in the prices of LPG cylinders. This will not only make the life of women power easier but will also reduce the financial burden of crores of families. This step It will also be helpful in environmental protection, which will improve the health of the entire family.”

10 lakh beneficiaries will get the benefit of subsidy
Earlier, taking a decision in the cabinet meeting, the government had increased the subsidy of Rs 300 on LPG cylinder under the Ujjwala scheme for one year. About 10 lakh beneficiaries will benefit from this. These beneficiaries will get subsidy on 12 cylinders in a year.
The price of 14 kg LPG cylinder within Delhi is Rs 903. After the discount of Rs 100, its price will be Rs 803, while after the subsidy given to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme, its price will be Rs 603.
