PM Modi Mann Ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the countrymen through the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio program on Sunday (30 June). Due to the three-month-long Lok Sabha elections and then the swearing-in ceremony, PM Modi was not participating in this radio program. However, now the elections are over and PM Modi addressed the countrymen through this radio program. Sunday (30 June) was the 111th episode of the Mann Ki Baat radio program.

PM Modi talked about issues related to national interest in the Mann Ki Baat radio program. In this, he discussed yoga. Prime Minister Modi had announced on June 18 that from June 30, the countrymen will once again get a chance to listen to the Mann Ki Baat radio program. He appealed to the people that they can send their ideas on MyGov Open Forum and Namo App, which will be discussed in the Mann Ki Baat radio program.

PM Modi mentioned Andhra’s special coffee

PM Modi told the countrymen about a special coffee. He said that there are many products of India which are in great demand all over the world and when we see a local product of India going global, it is natural to feel proud. One such product is Araku coffee. Araku coffee is produced in large quantities in Alluri Sita Ram Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. It is known for its rich flavour and aroma.

Yoga Day celebrated all over the world – PM Modi

The Prime Minister talked about the importance of the recently celebrated Yoga Day and how important it is for life. He said that this month the whole world celebrated the 10th Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. I also participated in the yoga program organized in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. In Kashmir, along with the youth, sisters and daughters also participated enthusiastically in Yoga Day. 

India honored in Turkmenistan- PM Modi

PM Modi said that the 300th birth anniversary of the national poet was celebrated in Turkmenistan in May this year. On this occasion, the President of Turkmenistan unveiled the statues of 24 famous poets of the world. One of these statues is of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. This is an honour for Gurudev, an honour for India. 

He said that in the month of June, two Caribbean countries Suriname and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines celebrated their Indian heritage with full zeal and enthusiasm. The Hindustani community in Suriname celebrates June 5 every year as Indian Arrival Day and Pravasi Diwas. 

Preparations are going on for Paris Olympics

PM Modi talked about the preparations going on for the Paris Olympics. He said that the performance of our players in Tokyo had won the heart of every Indian. Now preparations are going on for the Paris Olympics. Some things will be seen for the first time in the Paris Olympics. 

The Prime Minister said that the talent of our players is coming to the fore in shooting. Both men’s and women’s teams have qualified in table tennis. Our shooter daughters are also included in the Indian shotgun team

PM Modi talked about Karthumbhi umbrella

Prime Minister Modi talked about Kerala’s Karthumbhi umbrella and told how people are looking for it after the monsoon. He said that Karthumbhi umbrellas are made in Attappady of our Kerala. These colorful umbrellas are very beautiful. These umbrellas are made by tribal sisters. Today these umbrellas are in demand across the country. They are also being sold online. 

Sanskrit weekend at Cubbon Park in Bengaluru was also mentioned

PM Modi said that today on 30th June, Akashvani’s Sanskrit bulletin is completing 50 years of its broadcast. For 50 years, this bulletin has kept so many people connected to Sanskrit. I congratulate the All India Radio family. He told that there is a park in Bangalore – Cubbon Park. The people here have started a new tradition in this park. Here, once a week, every Sunday, children, youth and elders talk to each other in Sanskrit. 

He said that not only this, many debate sessions are also organised in Sanskrit. The name of this initiative is Sanskrit Weekend. It has been started by Samashti Gubbi ji through a website. This initiative which started a few days ago has become very popular among the people of Bangalore. If we all join such efforts, then we will get to learn a lot from such an ancient and scientific language of the world.

Plant a tree in the name of your mother

Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed about environment and planting trees in a radio program. He said that if I ask you which is the most precious relationship in the world, you will definitely say- mother. We cannot give anything to our mother, but can we do anything else? With this thought in mind, a special campaign has been started on World Environment Day this year, the name of this campaign is- Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam. Everyone has been appealed to plant a tree in the name of their mother.

PM Modi mentioned Veer Sidhu-Kanhu

PM Modi said that this day of 30th June is very important. Our tribal brothers and sisters celebrate this day as ‘Hool Diwas’. This day is associated with the indomitable courage of Veer Sidhu-Kanhu, who strongly opposed the atrocities of foreign rulers.

He said that Veer Sidhu-Kanhu united thousands of Santhal companions and fought the British with all their might, and do you know when this happened? This happened in 1855, that is, this happened two years before India’s first war of independence in 1857, when our tribal brothers and sisters in Santhal Paragana of Jharkhand took up arms against the foreign rulers.

2024 election is the biggest election- PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the countrymen in the Mann Ki Baat radio program and talked about the Lok Sabha elections. He said that today I thank the countrymen for expressing their unwavering faith in our Constitution and the democratic system of the country. The 2024 election was the biggest election in the world. No country in the world has had such a big election in which 65 crore people have cast their votes. I congratulate the Election Commission and every person associated with the voting process. 

Background:

Mann Ki Baat radio program was started on October 3, 2014. Its aim is to reach its views to every section of the society. Apart from being broadcast in 22 Indian languages ​​and 29 dialects, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is also broadcast in 11 foreign languages ​​​​like French, Chinese, Indonesian, Tibetan, Burmese, Balochi, Arabic, Pashtu, Persian, Dari and Swahili. This program reaches the audience through more than 500 broadcasting centers of All India Radio.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi last participated in the Mann Ki Baat radio program on 25 February. After this, it was stopped keeping in mind the Lok Sabha elections. In the 110th episode, PM Modi had told the countrymen that the Mann Ki Baat radio program will not be broadcast for the next three months in view of the Lok Sabha elections. The dates for the Lok Sabha elections were announced in March and the elections were held in April-May. The results were announced on 4 June, after which PM Modi took oath on 9 June.
