Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: There is anger across the country over the rape and murder of a lady doctor in Kolkata’s government RG Kar Hospital. The main accused in this murder case, Sanjay Roy, has been arrested, but many questions still remain unanswered about this case. To find answers to these questions, the CBI is questioning the principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and doctors who know the lady doctor. Meanwhile, a post on social media claimed that the lady doctor was not murdered by Sanjay Roy, but by 7 trainee doctors of RG Kar Hospital. It also said that these trainee doctors raped M (the name used for the victim) and then tore her legs like Jarasandha. However, News18 Hindi could not independently confirm these claims.

Activist Madhu Kishwar has posted a post on the social media platform X, in which she said that this claim has been made in a conversation between a woman working as a doctor in RG Kar Medical College Hospital and her friend. Along with this, she also shared the audio of the conversation, which is in Bengali and Kishwar has put its translation in her post.
Lady doctor put on night shift for 36 hours
Giving full details of the conversation, Madhu Kishwar wrote, ‘The girl was a very good student. She was being threatened that the faculty would not let her complete her thesis. She protested against this and warned them that she would file an RG and expose the misdeeds of the medical college. She was being harassed for the last six months. She was put on night shift for 36 hours without a break and was given a lot of pressure work. The head of the chest department, senior PGT, and everyone knew how much pressure the principal and his nexus were putting on her.’
Along with this, she says that despite this pressure, M was absolutely adamant. That night, on August 9, 2024, the whole group hatched this conspiracy against her. Rape and murder was a pre-planned and planned game. She said, ‘Earlier many PGTs and senior doctors used to rest in the seminar room, but that night she was asked to sleep alone in that seminar room. Some students spread the rumor that the room was under construction and no one should go there.’
‘Had a fight with a girl at dinner’
The doctor claimed that before the incident, four fellow students had dinner with her in the seminar room. One of the four was a girl. I don’t understand what kind of a woman she is. How can a doctor do such a horrible thing? She says, ‘I cannot say whether the girl who had dinner with M was a doctor or an intern, but she has a boyfriend who is also an intern. That night she had a big fight with M and she threatened her again. After that M was asked to sleep alone in the seminar room.’
She says, ‘Then a group of about seven people went down and drank alcohol. Then they first held her hands tightly and then beat her and raped her. The female intern also supported and helped in this incident.’
The doctor from RG Kar Hospital further claims, ‘Two of them held his legs and separated them like Jarasandha, breaking his pelvic bones. They even broke his collar bone. He was then made to lie face down, and fellow interns walked over him wearing shoes. His head was crushed so badly that his skull cracked.’
How did Sanjay Roy’s name come up?
About Sanjay Roy, she says, ‘After killing him, when they came down the stairs, they saw Sanjay sitting there and drinking alcohol with other Group-D employees. They used to call him ‘Tarkata Sanjay’ and ‘Phal-Gai’ because he was addicted to prostitution and had a passion for women.’
Along with this, he claimed, ‘Those doctors told Sanjay- ‘Go to the seminar room, there is a girl for you there.’ He raped the dead body so that traces of his semen could be found in her vagina as well.’ However, ByNewsIndia.Com could not independently confirm the claims made in this post.
