Supreme Court Cracks Down on Patanjali: The Supreme Court has sent a contempt notice to Patanjali and Balkrishna and sought their reply regarding misleading advertisements on the treatment of diseases. He has asked why action should not be taken against him. The notice has been issued on the basis of photographs printed in advertisements. The court has warned not to make statements against any medical system in any form in print or other media.
The Supreme Court said that prima facie he has violated the orders of the Supreme Court. Prima facie, he violated the promise given to the Supreme Court on November 21, 2023. How can Patanjali claim to completely eliminate BP, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, obesity? This is a complete violation of the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act. Allopathy cannot be degraded/defamed in the eyes of the public like this. Cannot criticize any other method of treatment like allopathy.

Supreme Court cornered Patanjali after anonymous letter
Actually, after an anonymous letter the Supreme Court has cornered Patanjali. The court has revealed in its order that on January 15, 2024, a judge of CJI DY Chandrachud’s bench and two other Supreme Court judges had received an anonymous letter. It was told that on 21 November 2023, the Supreme Court had stopped Patanjali from giving such misleading advertisements, but despite this such advertisements were issued. A copy of the advertisement was also attached with the letter.
The court has already expressed objection
Let us tell you that on 29 November 2023, the Supreme Court had shown strictness on the petition of the Indian Medical Association objecting to the advertisements of Patanjali Ayurveda.
Hearing the Indian Medical Association’s petition against the statements and advertisements of Patanjali and Ramdev about allopathy and its medicines and vaccinations, a bench of Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra found Patanjali publishing misleading claims and advertisements about allopathy. Patanjali was reprimanded for this.
