Swati Maliwal Case: Delhi Police has made a big disclosure in the case of misbehavior with Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal. Police has said that the CCTV footage of the incident is missing. The footage of the incident is showing blank in the CCTV footage seized by the police. Delhi Police has also told this to the court while taking remand of Bibhav Kumar.
Delhi Police suspects that CCTV has been tampered with. Attempts have been made to destroy evidence in CM House. According to Delhi Police, they have not yet been given the DVR of CCTV from CM House. Delhi Police had also issued a notice for the DVR. Investigation revealed that even a JE level officer does not have access to the CCTV and DVR installed in CM House.
The CCTV installed in the CM House comes under the Public Works Department. Delhi Police received only one video in a pen drive through the JE, which turned out to be blank during investigation.
Bibhav Kumar sent to police custody
On the other hand, Bibhav Kumar’s phone has been sent for expert investigation. According to Delhi Police, Bibhav Kumar is not revealing the password of his phone. Bibhav Kumar has formatted his phone. According to Delhi Police, Bibhav had formatted his phone in Mumbai. Currently, Bibhav Kumar has been sent to five days police remand.
Bibhav Kumar was arrested by the Delhi Police on Saturday and later a Delhi court disposed of his anticipatory bail plea terming it “infructuous”. Later, the police produced Bibhav Kumar before Metropolitan Magistrate Gaurav Goyal, who sent him to five-day police custody.
Accused Vibhav’s troubles will increase, now Delhi Police is preparing to add this new section
A big news has come out in the Swati Maliwal case. According to sources, the police can also charge the accused Bibhav Kumar under section 201 of the IPC, i.e. section of destroying evidence. The police suspect that Bibhav has intentionally formatted his mobile. Questions are being raised on the timing of formatting the mobile and not telling the password to the police.
The police is in constant touch with the PWD to obtain the DVR of the CCTV cameras installed in the CM House, but is not getting cooperation from there either. It is being told that selective and edited CCTV and mobile videos are being made viral from the CM House. The police is also keeping an eye on whether all this is being done to misdirect the investigation. Delhi Police is also investigating the role of other people in this case.
Swati Maliwal had filed an FIR in the assault case
Former Delhi Women’s Commission chairperson Swati Maliwal had alleged on May 13 that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary Vibhav Kumar had misbehaved with her at his official residence. On May 16, Swati Maliwal filed an FIR against Vibhav Kumar for assault. After this, the police also got Swati medically examined, in which injury marks were found at many places on her body. Delhi Police arrested Vibhav Kumar on Saturday, May 18.
Kejriwal had made many allegations against BJP
