Maldives has been a good neighbor of India before. Using Muizzu as an excuse, China wants to distance Maldives from India. This is the reason why it is constantly wooing Muizzu. Now Muizzu has also come under the influence of China and is putting relations with India at stake. But Muizzu is not understanding why China is wooing him.
China wants to dominate the Indian Ocean on the pretext of Maldives

Why is Modi giving preference to Maldives?
