Amit Shah Edited Video Case: In the case related to the tampered video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Delhi Police has summoned 16 leaders from seven states including Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. As part of the investigation of the case, the police has gone to Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.

According to sources, a Lok Sabha candidate of Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh and two Congress leaders in Rajasthan and Nagaland have also been asked to appear before the police with mobile phones. Earlier on Monday, Revanth Reddy, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) members Shiv Kumar Ambala, Asma Tasleem, Satish Manne and Naveen Patem were summoned to appear before the police on May 1.
Delhi Police has registered FIR
Delhi Police registered a case on Sunday after receiving a complaint from the BJP and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). After this, the IFSO unit of the Delhi Police Special Cell Cyber Wing also registered an FIR. According to the copy of the FIR available with IANS, the Home Ministry said in the complaint that it has been found that some manipulated videos are being circulated on Facebook and Twitter.
What did the Home Ministry say?
It said, “The video appears to have been tampered with. It is being used to spread misinformation with the intention of creating animosity between communities. It is likely to affect peace and order.” The ministry further requested that necessary action be taken as per the provisions of the law. A report has been attached with the complaint, which details the links and handles from which the tampered videos of the Home Minister are being shared.
