Congress Manifesto 2024: Congress has released its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections , it has been named ‘Nyaya Patra’. This manifesto of the party was jointly released by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Congress has given 25 guarantees to the public through this manifesto. If the party wins the Lok Sabha elections (LokSabha Elections 2024), then the Congress party has promised the public to fulfill these guarantees. Mallikarjun Kharge said that the Congress manifesto is dedicated to the poor. This manifesto of Congress is based on five justice and 25 guarantees – Youth Justice ‘Guarantee’, Nari Nyay ‘Guarantee’, Kisan Nyay ‘Guarantee’, Shramik Nyay ‘Guarantee’, Stakeholder Justice ‘Guarantee’.
Women from poor families have been promised a grant of Rs 1 lakh annually. Congress has also promised the public to give 50 percent reservation to women in government jobs in the year 2025. Mallikarjun Kharge said that the Congress manifesto is based on three words – work, wealth and welfare. Work means giving you a job.

What are the promises in the Congress manifesto?
1- There will be emphasis on maintaining the status quo in Ladakh.
2- Amendment in the Constitution to provide 50% reservation to women in government jobs.
3- Contractual jobs in PSU and government jobs will be purchased and made permanent.
4- SC/ST, OBC categories will be given reservation in private educational institutions.
5- We will bring Rohith Vemula Act to protect students from any kind of harassment on the basis of caste.
6- Senior citizen, Windows and disability pension will be increased to Rs 1,000 per month.
7- Free healthcare including diagnosis, surgery and medicines and cashless insurance up to Rs 25 lakh for public healthcare.
8- Mahalaxmi Yojana will be started for poor families. Where they will be given 1 lakh rupees without any condition.
9- Work will be done on bringing this before distributing the money. People’s salaries have remained stagnant in the 5 years of Modi government.
10- A nationwide socio-economic and caste census will be conducted to provide information about castes and sub-castes and their socio-economic conditions.
11- The reservation limit for SC, ST and OBC will be increased by 50 percent and they will be given full rights.
12- All backlog vacancies of reserved posts for ST, SC and OBC will be filled within one year.
13- 40 lakh government jobs will be given to the youth
14- New laws and policies will be made to stop paper leak.
15- The salaries of Anganwadi workers, Asha workers and mid-day meal workers will be increased.
16- Double the number of hostels will be built for working women,
17- GST will be removed from the items essential for farmers and legal guarantee will be given on MSP along with Swaminathan formula.
18- In case of crop loss, compensation for 30 days will be transferred to the farmers’ account.
19- The daily wages of laborers will be increased to Rs 400. This will also be implemented in MNREGA. A new policy like MNREGA will also be brought for urban areas.
20- Life and accidental insurance will be provided to workers working in the unorganized sector.
21- The 50 percent limit will be abolished in the constitutional amendments.
22- Budget will be allocated for SC, ST as per their population.
23- Institutional loans will be increased for SC/ST for building houses, starting businesses and purchasing properties.
24- Economically weaker people of all castes and communities will be given 10 percent reservation in jobs and educational institutions without any discrimination.
25- The amount of scholarship for SC, ST and OBC students, especially for higher education, will be doubled. Scholarship for PhD will also be doubled. Help will also be provided for studying abroad.
