Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Bharatiya Janata Party with 40 parties and Congress with 27 parties are engaged in a fight to make the battle of Lok Sabha 2024 face to face, but 8 small parties from 8 states can spoil the game of these big parties.

These eight parties have single-handedly opened a front against the BJP and Congress candidates. It is being said that if these parties manage to perform well, then the game of Congress and BJP may be spoilt.

  • 6. Trinamool Congress-
  • 7-8. INLD and JJP-

Both NDA-India alliances are also worried about this, so BJP and Congress are preparing separate strategies in the areas dominated by these parties. For example, candidates are being selected keeping in mind the vote bank of these parties, so that there is minimum damage.

Even in their campaigns, big leaders are not directly attacking these parties.

In terms of numbers, the vote percentage of these parties across the country may be around 15 percent, but there are about 230 Lok Sabha seats where their dominance is very high and they are capable of making the election triangular.

In such a situation, understand in detail about these parties and their areas of dominance in this story…

From South to North…these regional parties are ruling the roost

1. AIADMK-

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) is a regional party of Tamil Nadu. Currently the party is in the role of main opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.

This party has a direct impact on 39 seats in Tamil Nadu and one seat in Puducherry. AIADMK was with BJP in the last election, but left NDA on the Dravidian issue.

There was also talk of AIADMK returning to NDA before the Lok Sabha elections 2024, but the party decided to fight alone.

In Tamil Nadu, on one hand there is an alliance of parties like BJP, PMK, on the other hand DMK and Congress are contesting the elections together. However, it is being said that who will get the edge between the two will depend on the performance of AIADMK.

2. YSR Congress-

Andhra Pradesh’s ruling party YSR Congress is also fighting this election alone. Assembly elections are proposed along with Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra has a total of 25 Lok Sabha seats.

In the last election, YSR had registered a one-sided victory. However, this time the party’s path is not easy.

On one side there is an alliance of BJP and TDP, on the other side Congress is also fighting strongly. What will be the result of Andhra, that too will depend a lot on the performance of YSR.

3. Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi-

Bhimrao Ambedkar’s grandson Prakash Ambedkar runs the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi party. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Ambedkar’s party got 6.92 percent votes.

Bahujan Aghadi was a part of the All India Alliance till a few days ago, but due to no agreement on seats, it has decided to contest the elections alone.

Bahujan Aghadi has a direct influence on about 12 seats in Maharashtra. In the last election, Prakash Ambedkar stood second in the Akola seat.

Congress has targeted Ambedkar for fighting alone. Congress state president Nana Patole has said that Ambedkar is working at the behest of BJP and is trying to spoil the game of Mahayuti.

4. Bahujan Samaj Party-

Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party is in a strong position in 84 Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Mayawati contested the 2019 elections in alliance with the SP, but this time the party is fighting alone.

Even in 2014, the BSP had contested the elections alone and had spoilt the game of the SP on around 70 seats.

This time SP is in alliance with Congress, but it is still afraid of BSP in the seats of Western UP and Bundelkhand. This time BSP has also fielded strong candidates against BJP in many seats.

BSP is also in a strong position in Gwalior-Chambal of Madhya Pradesh. If BSP performs well here, then Congress’s problems may increase.

5. KCR’s BRS-

Telangana’s main opposition party BRS is contesting the elections alone this time. There are a total of 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, out of which BRS had won 9 seats last time.

In Telangana, BJP and Congress have become stronger than in 2019, but BRS can also spoil the game on many seats.

In the recently held Telangana assembly elections, BRS got 37 percent votes, which was only 2 percent less than the ruling Congress. KCR’s party still dominates in the urban areas of Telangana.

6. Trinamool Congress-

West Bengal’s ruling party Trinamool Congress is also in the fray alone this time. There are a total of 42 Lok Sabha seats in Bengal. Earlier there was talk of Mamata’s alliance with CPM and Congress, but at the last moment Mamata chose the path of going alone.

Mamata has formed a strong front against both Congress and BJP. Mamata has fielded cricketer Yusuf Pathan against Congress state president Adhir Ranjan, while young face Debangshu Bhattacharya has been nominated from BJP’s stronghold Tamluk.

In 2019, BJP won 18 seats in Bengal, Congress won 2 and Mamata’s party won 22 seats.

7-8. INLD and JJP-

Though the main contest in Haryana is between the BJP and Congress alliance, everyone’s eyes are also on regional parties like INLD and JJP. Both the parties are contesting the elections alone this time.

Both have a strong hold in Jatland. JJP was part of the NDA alliance till recently. There are a total of 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana and in 2019, BJP won all the seats.

In 2014, current JJP leader Dushyant Chautala had won the Hisar seat.
