The results of the 18th Lok Sabha elections are almost clear. Out of 542 seats, NDA has got 292 seats and India has got 233 seats. Although BJP could not cross the majority figure of 272, NDA has got the majority. In 2014, BJP got 278 seats and in 2019, it got 303 seats.
Meanwhile, preparations for forming the government have begun. NDA can stake claim to form the government on Wednesday. It has called a meeting of its constituent parties on Wednesday. The PM has called Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu for a meeting.

Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni has lost the election from Lakhimpur Kheri seat of Uttar Pradesh. In 2021, Teni’s son ran his car over protesting farmers. 8 people were killed in this.
Besides, Modi government ministers Smriti Irani, Mahendra Nath Pandey and Kaushal Kishore also lost the election. Meanwhile, BJP candidate Lallu Singh also lost in Faizabad (Ayodhya).
Rahul Gandhi won the election from Wayanad in Kerala and Rae Bareli in UP. Karanbhushan Singh also won from Kaiserganj seat. Karanbhushan is the son of former MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh. Brijbhushan was accused of sexual exploitation by wrestlers, after which he did not get the ticket.

Uttar Pradesh – 80 seats
In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP contested 74 seats in UP. While its allies Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and Apna Dal (S) contested two seats each. BJP won 33 seats. At the same time, RLD won 2 seats. Apna Dal Sonelal’s party won one seat. SP included in INDIA block won 37 seats and Congress won 6 seats.

Gujarat – 26 seats
