India Will Become Third-Largest Economy by 2047

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a vision to make India the third largest economy in the world by 2047. Expressing a positive attitude towards the Indian economy, PM Modi said that India will become a 5 trillion dollar economy in the coming five years. In an interview to news agency ANI, PM Modi also questioned the opposition for spreading the fear that if BJP comes to power for the third time, it will try to change the Constitution.

PM Modi said, “When I say that I have big plans, no one should be afraid. I do not take decisions to scare or deceive anyone. I take decisions for the overall development of the country.” Modi said, “Governments always say that we have done everything. But I do not believe that I have done everything. I have tried to do everything in the right direction. Still I need to do a lot. There is still a lot of work left. Because I see how many needs my country has. Every family has its own needs. That is why I say that this is a trailer of development… the whole movie is yet to come.”

Currently, India is the fifth largest economy in the world. America, China, Germany and Japan are ahead of India. India is expected to overtake Japan in 2026 and Germany in 2027. Japan is currently stuck in recession while Germany’s economy is also struggling. Meanwhile, global brokerage firm Jefferies expressed a positive attitude towards the Indian economy and said that the country’s economy will reach five trillion dollars in the coming five years. In this sense, India will become the third largest economy in the world by 2027.

Work has begun to fulfill the 2047 vision

Talking about the Indian economy, PM Modi said, “As far as the 2047 vision is concerned, the foundation for fulfilling it has been laid. I have been the Chief Minister of Gujarat for a long time. I am used to experience. Due to frequent elections, 30-40 senior good officers from my state used to go as observers for election duty. They used to stay out for 40-50 days. Then I used to worry that how will I run the government? Because such elections keep happening in the country and my officers remain observers. Then I thought that I will not waste such time as a vacation. That is why I used to plan for even 100 days.”

Prime Minister Modi said, “Work on the 2047 Developed India project has been going on for the last two years. I have even set a target for 100 days in my third term. I have been working on the 2047 vision for the last two years. For this, I sought opinions and suggestions from people across the country. I have taken suggestions from more than 15 lakh people. I learned from them how they want to see India in the coming 25 years.”

What did PM Modi say on the action of government agencies?

On the allegations of opposition parties of government control over central investigation agencies and raising questions on EVMs, PM Modi said that in reality they (opposition parties) are looking for a reason for their defeat, so that the blame of defeat does not fall directly on them.

What did PM Modi say about Ram Temple?

On the issue of Ram Mandir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Who politicized this issue?… This issue was used as a weapon to strengthen vote bank politics and it was repeatedly instigated. When this case was going on in the court, efforts were made to not give the verdict… This was a political weapon for them (opposition)… Now that Ram Mandir has been built, this issue has gone out of their hands…”

What did PM Modi say about repealing the Constitution if he returns to power in 2024?

On Congress’ allegation that ‘the Constitution will be abolished after 400 years’, PM Modi said, “On what basis can you make such allegations against a person who goes to the UN and praises Tamil, the oldest language in the world? …. The problem is with them (the opposition), they want to mould the country in one mould. We worship diversity…we celebrate it…”.

What did PM Modi say on the North-South division?

On the so-called ‘North-South Divide’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Seeing India in pieces is the result of ignorance towards India. If you look in Hindustan, where are the most number of villages associated with the name of Lord Ram? It is in Tamil Nadu. Now how can you separate it. Diversity is our strength, we should celebrate it…”

‘A leader says, I will eliminate poverty in one go’, PM Modi targets Rahul Gandhi

On Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Modi said, “Unfortunately, today we have no responsibility towards our words… I heard a leader saying ‘I will eradicate poverty in one go’. The person who got to rule the country for 5-6 decades and today he says that I will eradicate poverty in one go. Listening to him, people wonder what he is saying… We have come from the great tradition of ‘life may go but promise should not go’. Leaders should take responsibility… Today people have faith in what we say.”

‘Earlier, political power was used to save the family’, said PM Modi

In the interview, PM Modi also targeted the problem of nepotism in the previous governments and opposition parties. He said that unfortunately in the earlier political culture, all the political energy was spent on strengthening the family and ensuring that no one uproots the roots of the family. I work with the goal of strengthening the country.

What did PM Modi say about Lok Sabha elections 2024?

PM Modi said that it is not that I am doing this today, I was working in this direction even when I was in Gujarat. The country has an opportunity in the 2024 elections. One was the tenure of Congress and the other of BJP. Their tenure was of 5-6 decades and my work was of 10 years. I had to spend 2 years in the fight against Covid in 10 years and even after that I had a lot of influence. After this, a different model is seen from the Congress model on every parameter. I have to increase the speed as well as the scale in the next term.

‘Democracy should be in our veins’, said PM Modi

He said that 100 years of India’s independence should inspire India. The second is 2024, this election sequence is a predetermined sequence. This is another thing. In a democracy, elections should not be taken lightly. It should be celebrated as a festival. If we turn the election atmosphere into a folk festival, it will become a sanskar (culture). Democracy should be in our veins and in our culture.

‘With those who spew venom against Sanatan…’, PM Modi targets Congress

On DMK’s recent ‘anti-Sanatana’ remarks and public outrage over it, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Congress should be asked what is their compulsion to sit with people who spew so much venom against Sanatana?… What is this perversion in Congress’s mentality…”

What did PM Modi say on One Nation-One Election?

On ‘One Nation, One Election’, PM Modi told ANI, “…One Nation One Election is our commitment…Many people have given their suggestions to the committee. Very positive and innovative suggestions have come. If we are able to implement this report, the country will benefit a lot.”

‘No one needs to be afraid’, said PM Modi

PM Modi told ANI, “I have big plans…no one needs to be afraid. My decisions are not to scare or suppress anyone. They are for the overall development of the country.”

‘Whatever happened in 10 years is just a trailer’, said PM Modi

During the interview, PM Modi said that whatever has happened in 10 years is just a trailer.
