Various preparations have been made in various states for Eid-ul-Fitr. At some places, traffic diversion and special parking arrangements have been made keeping in mind the convenience of the Namazis, while in some states many places have been marked. Let’s know about this:

Revised holiday in Puducherry

The Eid holiday in Puducherry has been revised by the government. Eid will now be celebrated there on Thursday (April 11, 2024). However, in a notification issued by the Home Department, it was stated that there will be no change in the public holiday declared on Wednesday in the Mahe region. Earlier it was to be celebrated on Wednesday (April 10) (according to the official calendar).

OPD will remain closed in JIPMER

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) announced that since Thursday is a public holiday, outpatient services will not be available. A press release has also been issued by the institute in this regard and through it people have been advised to avoid coming to OPD on the holiday. However, emergency services will remain operational during this time.

2912 places ‘marked’ in Lucknow

Eid prayers will be offered in 37,018 Eidgahs and mosques in Uttar Pradesh (UP). However, 2912 sensitive places have been identified for Eid and sector scheme has been implemented at such places. 241 companies of PAC force, eight companies of SDRF and 229 companies of CAPF have been deployed to conduct Eid prayers successfully. Drone cameras will be used to monitor the places of prayers.

The Bihar government earlier on Monday (April 8, 2024) announced a holiday for school teachers on Eid-ul-Fitr and Ram Navami. According to a statement issued by the Education Department, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed dissatisfaction over depriving teachers of leave due to residential training program. The CM has ordered that there will be a holiday on Eid-ul-Fitr on 10 and 11 April and Ram Navami on 17 April.
