Women’s Asia Cup 2024 schedule: The Asian Cricket Council has released the schedule for the Women’s Asia Cup 2024. This tournament will be held in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. The first match will be held on 19 July. While the final will be played on 20 July. The good news for the fans is that the Indian and Pakistani teams are in the same group this year. The most different thing this year will be that a total of 8 teams will participate this season. Last season only 7 teams were able to participate in this tournament.
Asian Cricket Council President Jay Shah said in a statement, “An exciting tournament is expected that will inspire both players and fans. The Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 underlines the ACC’s commitment to promoting women’s cricket. We are very excited to see the ever-growing competition in the region.”
Let us tell you that this season the great match between India and Pakistan will be played on 21st July. India, Pakistan, Nepal and UAE teams have been placed in Group A. While Group B has teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand. Last year India won the title of Asia Cup 2023. India defeated Bangladesh in the final.
