CSK vs LSG IPL 2024: Lucknow Super Giants defeated Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets. CSK, playing first, scored 210 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Captain Rituraj Gaikwad scored 108 runs in 60 balls to take the team to a big score. On the other hand, LSG had a very bad start while chasing the target. Quinton de Kock returned to the pavilion after scoring zero and captain KL Rahul scored 16 runs. Marcus Stoinis scored the most runs for Lucknow, who completed a century in 56 balls and scored 124 runs in his 63-ball innings. In this innings, Stoinis also hit 13 fours and 6 sixes. At the same time, Deepak Hooda also made a significant contribution to Lucknow’s victory by playing a stormy innings of 17 runs in 6 balls in the last overs.

By the end of 11 overs, Lucknow Super Giants had lost 3 wickets for a score of 88 runs. The team still needed 123 runs in 9 overs to win. In such a situation, the 70-run partnership between Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran started increasing the heartbeat of CSK fans. But in the 17th over, Mathisha Pathirana dismissed Pooran. Nicholas Pooran scored 34 runs in 15 balls. The situation was such that LSG needed 47 runs to win in the last 3 overs. The match got stuck when Mustafizur Rahman gave 15 runs in the 18th over. On one hand, Gaikwad played a century innings, while Dubey scored 66 runs in just 27 balls, raining fours and sixes. He also hit 3 fours and 7 sixes during his stormy innings. On the other hand, MS Dhoni was at the crease on the last ball, who hit a four and took CSK to a score of 210 runs.

Especially after the second time-out, CSK batsmen adopted an aggressive approach. Due to this, Chennai scored 75 runs in the last 5 overs. Yash Thakur meanwhile gave away 35 runs in 2 overs. Mohsin Khan who came to bowl the 19th over also gave away 17 runs, in the same over Shivam Dubey completed his fifty in 22 balls. Talking about LSG’s bowling, only Matt Henry, Mohsin Khan and Yash Thakur were able to take 1-1 wickets.
