IND vs BAN T20 World Cup 2024: India defeated Bangladesh by 50 runs in the 47th match of T20 World Cup 2024. It was a Super-8 match, in which India has almost confirmed its ticket to the semi-finals with the win. In the match, Team India defeated Bangladesh by doing wonders first in batting and then in bowling. For India, Hardik Pandya played a brilliant innings and scored an unbeaten half-century and then Kuldeep Yadav took the maximum of 3 wickets in bowling.

In the match, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first, which did not prove to be good for them at all. Batting first, India scored 196/5 runs in 20 overs. Then Bangladesh, chasing the target, could only score 146/8 runs in 20 overs. While chasing the target in the match, the Bangladesh team did not appear in that rhythm, which would make it seem that they would win. For Bangladesh, captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto played the biggest innings and scored 40 runs.

India has strengthened its claim for the semi-finals by defeating Bangladesh by 50 runs in the seventh match of the Super-8 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Batting first at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, India scored 196 runs for the loss of 5 wickets with the help of Hardik Pandya’s unbeaten half-century. In response, on the basis of Kuldeep Yadav’s brilliant bowling, Rohit and company managed to stop Bangladesh at 146 runs and won the match. After this victory, India has got four points. Team India is at the top of the points table in Super-8 Group 1 with two wins in two matches.

Bangladesh had a good start chasing the target given by India. The team got its first blow in the form of Litton Das at a score of 35. After this, Tanjid Hasan and Nazmul Hussain Shanto tried to handle the team’s innings. However, once this pair broke, Bangladesh’s batting faltered. Nazmul Hussain Shanto was the highest run scorer for Bangladesh. He played an innings of 40 runs in 32 balls. Apart from him, Tanjid Hasan scored 29 and Rishad Hussain scored 24 runs. For India, Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs. While Bumrah took 2 wickets for 13 runs in 4 overs and Arshdeep took 2 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs.

Earlier, India scored 196 runs for five wickets in a Group A match of the Super Eight stage of the ICC T20 World Cup, thanks to Hardik Pandya’s fiery half-century and the excellent performance of the batsmen led by him. For India, Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten 50 off 27 balls with four fours and three sixes. Virat Kohli scored 37, Rishabh Pant 36 and Shivam Dubey 34. For Bangladesh, Tanjim Hasan Sakib scored 32 while Rishad Hussain took two wickets for 43 runs. Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto won the toss and invited India to bat first, after which captain Rohit Sharma (23 runs, 11 balls, three fours, one six) and Virat Kohli gave the team a quick start.

Kuldeep Yadav took the maximum of 3 wickets for India. During this, he spent only 19 runs in 4 overs. Arshdeep Singh and Jaspreet Bumrah got 2-2 wickets each. Hardik Pandya took one wicket. 

Hardik hit fifty in 27 balls

Earlier, due to Hardik Pandya’s fiery half-century and the excellent performance of the batsmen under his leadership, India scored 196 runs for 5 wickets. For India, Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten 50 runs in 27 balls with four fours and three sixes. Virat Kohli scored 37, Rishabh Pant scored 36 and Shivam Dubey scored 34 runs. For Bangladesh, Tanjim Hasan Sakib scored 32 while Rishad Hussain took two wickets for 43 runs.

Shanto won the toss and invited India to bat first

Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto won the toss and invited India to bat first. After which captain Rohit Sharma (23 runs, 11 balls, three fours, one six) and Virat Kohli gave the team a quick start. Bangladesh started the bowling with the spin duo of Mehdi Hasan and Shakib Al Hasan (one wicket for 37 runs). Rohit hit fours on Mehdi Hasan and Shakib. He and Kohli also hit a six on Shakib. However, Rohit tried to play another big shot on Shakib’s ball and waving the ball in the air got caught by Zakir Ali.

King Kohli made a ‘huge’ record, became the first batsman to score 3000 runs in the World Cup 

Virat Kohli created history on the World Cup stage. In the T20 World Cup 2024 being played these days, Kohli touched the mark of 3,000 runs in the World Cup (including ODIs and T20 World Cup) while playing against Bangladesh. Kohli became the first batsman to touch this figure. In the match against Bangladesh, Kohli scored 37 runs in 28 balls with the help of 1 four and 3 sixes. 

With this innings against Bangladesh, Kohli has reached the 1200-run mark in the T20 World Cup. Kohli is the highest run-scorer in the T20 World Cup. So far, he has scored 1207 runs in 30 innings of 32 matches at an average of 63.52 and a strike rate of 129.78. During this period, 14 half-centuries have come from his bat, in which the highest score was 89* runs.

Apart from this, Kohli has scored 1795 runs in 37 innings of 37 matches of ODI World Cup at an average of 59.83. During this, 5 centuries and 12 half-centuries have come off his bat, in which his highest score has been 117 runs. Kohli was the highest run-scorer in the ODI World Cup played in 2023. Kohli scored 765 runs at an average of 95.62 while batting in 11 innings of 11 matches. During this, 3 centuries and 6 half-centuries came off his bat.
