IND vs ENG, How Indian Team Dominate Over England: India won the Ranchi Test and has taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match Test series being played against England. In the fourth test of the series played in Ranchi, Team India defeated England by 5 wickets. The Indian team took the field in the series without veteran players like Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami and Rishabh Pant.

Team India was already struggling with the lack of experienced players, which was further increased by the injuries of some players. After the first Test played in Hyderabad, Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul were out due to injury. Although Jadeja made a comeback in the third Test played in Rajkot, KL Rahul remained out of Team India till the fourth Test. Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer was also no longer a part of India after the second test. So despite all these difficulties, how did India defeat England in the series? Here we will tell you the five main reasons for India winning the series.

1- Excellent captaincy of Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma has shown excellent captaincy in all four Tests played against England so far. In the Ranchi Test, Rohit won the lost match against England due to his brilliant captaincy. Rohit Sharma made a big move by starting with the spinners in the second innings against England, in which he was successful.

It was the spinners who took all 10 wickets and reduced England to 145 runs. During this period, fast bowler Mohammad Siraj had bowled only 3 overs for India. Whereas the other pacer Akash Deep did not get a chance to bowl even a single over.

2- Yashasvi Jaiswal took charge

Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a good start to India by batting brilliantly in all the four matches against England. Jaiswal has scored 2 double centuries in four matches, with which he is the highest run-scorer in the series. The Indian opener has scored 655 runs in 8 innings at an excellent average of 93.57.

3- Accurate bowling of Bumrah

On Indian pitches where spinners dominate, Jasprit Bumrah was the leading wicket-taker in the series till the third Test. While the fast bowlers were yearning for wickets, Bumrah was making life miserable for the English batsmen.

4- Team unity

Indian players appeared united in all the four matches played so far. That is, Indian players contributed to the team in all the matches, which was a big point for India in winning the series.

5- Jurel’s arrival

KS Bharat played as a wicketkeeper for Team India in the first two tests, but from the third match he was dropped from the playing eleven and Dhruv Jurel got the chance. Jurel made his debut for the Indian Test team through Rajkot Test, after which he proved useful for India in both the matches. In the Rajkot Test, Jurel scored 46 runs in the only innings and then in the Ranchi Test, he played important innings of 90 and 39* runs.
