RCB vs GT IPL 2024: In the 52nd match of IPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Gujarat Titans by 4 wickets. Gujarat had scored 147 runs after playing first. In response, RCB chased the target in 13.4 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. This is Bangalore’s fourth win in 11 matches and they have now moved from 10th to seventh position in the points table. For RCB, Faf du Plessis scored 64 and Virat Kohli scored 42 runs.

Bangalore defeated Gujarat Titans

RCB had a target of 148 runs. The team’s openers Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli added 92 runs in the first 6 overs. But after this the wickets started falling. In no time, 6 RCB batsmen went to the pavilion for 117 runs. Royal Challengers Bangalore fans were shocked, there was silence in the stadium, but experienced Dinesh Karthik led Faf du Plessis’s team to victory. Royal Challengers Bangalore achieved the target in 13.4 overs for 6 wickets.

Dinesh Karthik returned unbeaten after scoring 21 runs off 12 balls. Swapnil Singh returned unbeaten after scoring 15 runs off 9 balls. There was a partnership of 35 runs off 18 balls between Dinesh Karthik and Swapnil Singh.

Joshua Little shines, but…

Joshua Little was the most successful bowler for Gujarat Titans. Joshua Little took 4 wickets for 45 runs in 4 overs. Apart from this, Noor Ahmed got 2 successes.

For Royal Challengers Bangalore, captain Faf du Plessis played the highest innings of 64 runs in 23 balls. He hit 10 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. Apart from this, Virat Kohli contributed 42 runs in 27 balls. Virat Kohli hit 2 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. However, Will Jacks, Glenn Maxwell, Rajat Patidar and Cameron Green returned to the pavilion cheaply, but after this Dinesh Karthik and Swapnil Singh took RCB to victory.

At the same time, after this victory, Royal Challengers Bangalore has kept its playoff hopes alive. Now Royal Challengers Bangalore has 8 points in 11 matches. In this way, the hopes of Faf du Plessis’s team reaching the playoffs remain intact.

Gujarat Titans team collapsed at 147 runs

After losing the toss and batting first at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Gujarat Titans managed to score 147 runs in 19.3 overs losing all their wickets. Batting at the fourth position for the team, Shahrukh Khan managed to score the highest 37 runs in 24 balls. During this, 5 fours and 1 six came off his bat. Apart from him, batting at the 6th position, Rahul Tewatia contributed 35 runs in 21 balls. Meanwhile, 5 fours and 1 six came off his bat too. Apart from these two batsmen, the third highest scorer of the team was David Miller. Batting at the 5th position, Miller played an innings of 30 runs in 20 balls. 

Gujarat had lost 3 wickets for 23 runs in the powerplay

Gujarat’s team could hit only two fours in the powerplay, which proves how much pressure the batsmen were under. Gujarat’s score in the powerplay was 23 runs for three wickets, which is the lowest score of this season. Siraj performed brilliantly and got Wriddhiman Saha caught by Dinesh Karthik behind the wicket. Shubman Gill returned after giving a catch to Vijaykumar Vishak at deep point. Cameron Green took the third wicket in the powerplay in the form of in-form B Sai Sudarshan who was caught by Virat Kohli at mid-off.

Shahrukh Khan scored 37 runs

Miller scored 30 runs in 20 balls and Shahrukh scored 37 runs in 24 balls to take Gujarat to a respectable score. Both of them added 61 runs in 37 balls for the fourth wicket. Miller was given a lifeline by Green at square leg on the ball of Karn Sharma at the score of 23. He hit two sixes to Karn but the same bowler got him caught by Glenn Maxwell in the deep. Shahrukh was run out on Kohli’s accurate throw while trying to take a run. Tewatia scored 35 runs in 21 balls and Rashid scored 18 runs in 14 balls. Rashid was dismissed by Yash Dayal. Tewatia hit three fours and a six to Karn in the 16th over.

Yash Dayal was the most successful bowler for RCB

Yash Dayal was the most successful bowler for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Gujarat Titans. Dayal bowled 4 overs and took 2 wickets for 21 runs. Apart from him, Mohammad Siraj and Vijaykumar Vaish also took 2 wickets each, but they were more expensive than Dayal. Apart from these three bowlers, Cameron Green and Karn Sharma got 1 wicket each.
