In the first innings, Sunrisers Hyderabad displayed explosive batting and set a target of 267 runs for the home team to win. After being invited to bat before Delhi, Hyderabad openers Travis Head (89 runs, 32 balls, 11 fours, 6 sixes) and Abhishek Sharma (46 runs, 12 balls, 2 fours, 6 sixes) attacked the home team bowlers in such a way that the entire Delhi team and fans were stunned.

Both of them made a great start and made many records. It was a good thing that Travis Head and the other two explosive batsmen Markram and Klaasen got out cheaply. If they had also created an impact, then it was certain that Hyderabad would have crossed three hundred on Saturday.

Later, Indian batsmen Nitish Reddy (37 runs, 27 balls, 2 fours, 5 sixes) and Shahbaz Ahmed (59 runs not out, 29 balls, 2 fours, 5 sixes) also showed explosive attitude. The result was that Hyderabad scored 266 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs due to Kuldeep Yadav’s excellent bowling. Kuldeep Yadav bowled brilliantly and took four wickets, while Mukesh and Akshar got one wicket each.
