IMD Weather Update:
The entire North India including Delhi is in the grip of cold. Regarding this, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of dense to very dense fog in North India for the next 4-5 days. There is a possibility of cold day in the plains of northwest India for the next four days. Apart from this, there is a possibility of severe cold wave to severe cold wave in these areas during the next three days. After three days the cold will start reducing in these areas.
Possibility of dense fog in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense to very dense fog in some parts of Punjab and different parts of Haryana, Chandigarh for a few hours in the morning during 14-16 January. There will be dense fog in Bihar on 14 and 15 January.
There is a possibility of dense fog in different parts of Uttar Pradesh on January 14. Dense to very dense fog is expected in parts of North Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh from 14 to 15 January. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cold wave in Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.
How will the weather be in the northeastern states?
The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of very dense fog in the hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next two days. There will be dense fog in the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya and Manipur till next 14-16 January. Apart from this, there is a possibility of dense fog at some places in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh on January 17.
There will be frost in these places
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cold day to severe cold day conditions in different parts of Punjab during January 14 and 15. There is a possibility of frost on the ground in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh and East Rajasthan on January 14. An alert has been issued regarding cold day from 14 to 16 January at different places in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be severe cold in these areas.
