Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain in many states

Weather Update: It rained in Delhi-NCR this morning (12 September). Due to which normal life has been disrupted. Roads are waterlogged. Power has gone off in many areas. 

Meanwhile, IMD has issued an alert for three days. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain in many states including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Gujarat. The Meteorological Department said that the monsoon trough is near Delhi, due to which it may rain here not only today but also tomorrow. Apart from this, there was rain in Delhi NCR on 14 and 15 September. 

Monsoon trough passing through the capital Delhi

According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area has formed over northern Madhya Pradesh. In this, an east-west trough has merged with the seasonal monsoon trough. This trough is passing close to Delhi. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain. During this time, thunderstorms and strong winds can occur along with rain. IMD has issued an orange alert regarding rain in Delhi today. 

Heavy rain expected in Uttarakhand

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heavy rains in Uttarakhand. Heavy rains are expected in districts like Chamoli and Bageshwar. The administration has ordered to keep all schools including Anganwadi centers closed in districts like Chamoli and Bageshwar. 

Rajasthan forecasts rain 

Rain continues in many areas of Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in many areas of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota and Ajmer. 

There is a possibility of rain in UP and Madhya Pradesh as well

According to IMD, heavy rains may occur in many areas of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rains may occur in eastern Rajasthan, eastern Gujarat, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
