IMD Weather Update:Â The weather in the country is continuously changing. The Western Disturbance, which was being predicted to enter India for the last few days, has entered. According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of snowfall and hailstorm along with rain from March 1 to March 3 in North-West India. It is estimated that a drop in temperature may be recorded in areas of North India.
There is a possibility of snowfall along with rain in the areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand along with Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Till March 3, an alert of heavy rain to heavy snowfall has been issued in these states. There is a possibility of torrential rain in these states on March 1 and 2. Rain is also expected in some parts of Konkan, Central Maharashtra and Marathwada.
Heatwave alert in the states of South India
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of snowfall in the hilly parts of the country, thunderstorms with rain in the plains and heatwave in the states of South India. The mercury is continuously increasing in Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The temperature in these states is expected to increase further in the coming days.
Rain in Delhi-UP and thunderstorm in Madhya Pradesh.
There is a possibility of rain in many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, NCR, Uttar Pradesh till March 3. Storm alert has been issued in many areas of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh between March 1 and 3. There is also a possibility of rain with strong winds of 30 to 40 km in these states.
According to the forecast released by Skymet, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi-NCR on March 1 and 2. It will be cloudy here during these two days, due to which a drop in temperature can be recorded.Â
