Weather Update: Heavy rains in many states of the country have become a cause of trouble for people, while the sultry heat is still continuing in some areas of North India. There has been light rain in Delhi for the last few days, but in the meantime people are still facing the brunt of the sultry heat. At the same time, rain has wreaked havoc in many states including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. Many people have lost their lives due to lightning in UP and Bihar amid the rain. Also, the rivers of many states are in spate, as a result, floods have wreaked havoc in Assam, while many low-lying areas of UP and Bihar have also come under the grip of floods.

When will Delhi get relief from the scorching heat
There may be light rain in NCR including the capital Delhi today. According to the Meteorological Department, the capital will remain cloudy throughout the week. There is a possibility of light rain on Wednesday, moderate on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well. However, people are waiting for when they will get relief from this humid heat. The weather will change once again on Monday and it may change again. Due to which the temperature will gradually decrease and it can reach 32 degrees Celsius.
Weather condition of UP and Bihar
Due to light rain, the maximum temperature of Delhi has come down in the last few days, but the minimum temperature has increased. On Sunday, the maximum temperature of Delhi was 37.1 degrees, on Monday it was recorded at 35.2 degrees. Whereas, the minimum temperature was 27.6 degrees on Sunday and 29 degrees on Monday. Which is two degrees more than normal.
According to the Meteorological Department, in the coming days, the maximum temperature is likely to be between 34 to 36 degrees while the minimum temperature is likely to be between 25 to 27 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Department, it may rain in some areas of UP and Bihar even today. The Meteorological Department has also issued a warning of lightning.
In UP, warning of rain as well as lightning has been issued in Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Agra, Firozabad, Amroha, Bijnor, Rampur, Bareilly, Mathura, Hathras and surrounding areas.
At the same time, the weather is also changing in Bihar. There may be light rain in one or two districts of North Bihar. There is no possibility of rain in any district of South Bihar.
Chances of rain in Uttarakhand too
Rain has already wreaked havoc in Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in entire Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains may occur in most parts of Uttarakhand. At the same time, light rain is expected at many places in the state on 17 and 18 July.
In view of the possibility of rain in the entire state, people have been alerted so that any loss of life and property can be avoided. In view of the incidents of landslides due to rain in Uttarakhand, the administration is also continuously issuing instructions to the people to avoid unnecessary activities in the mountains.
Yellow alert for rain issued in Himachal Pradesh
As intermittent rains continued in parts of Himachal Pradesh, the weather office here on Monday issued a ‘yellow alert’ and forecast heavy rains in different parts of the state over the weekend. According to the State Emergency Operations Center, since the arrival of monsoon on June 27, the state has suffered a loss of Rs 177 crore and 25 people have died in rain-related incidents.
Weather condition of other states of the country
IMD said that light rain is possible in Punjab, Haryana, Paldakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Gangetic West Bengal, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu within the next 24 hours. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in Maharashtra.
IMD has issued a red alert for Raigad and an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, Satara and Kolhapur for Tuesday. In the next few hours, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, parts of Madhya Maharashtra and northern interior Karnataka may receive moderate to heavy rains with very heavy rains at some places. Apart from Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat may receive light to moderate rains with heavy rains at some places.
