IMD Weather Update: The heat has begun to make its presence felt across the country, with temperatures surpassing 40 degrees in many states. Some relief from the heat has come from cloud cover in certain areas. Today, clouds have gathered in states like Rajasthan and Punjab, bringing respite from the scorching sun. Additionally, the strong winds have provided relief from the heat. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert, predicting weather changes in several states, including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Himachal Pradesh in the coming days. There is a possibility of rain accompanied by strong winds over the next two days. Tripura experienced heavy rains, while Central Maharashtra saw hailstorms and dust storms.

Delhi to Experience 40 km/h Winds

Due to an active western disturbance, strong winds are expected to blow in the country’s capital, Delhi, for the next two days. Light rain may occur in many areas during this period. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain on Friday. The combination of rain and strong winds will bring relief from the heat in Delhi NCR areas for five days. In Delhi, along with rain, wind speeds are expected to reach 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

Storm Warning in Uttar Pradesh

The weather is set to change in Uttar Pradesh as well. Meteorologists predict cloudy skies in many states for the next two to three days, accompanied by strong winds. According to the IMD, a warning for rain, thunderstorms, and lightning has been issued for Uttar Pradesh on April 19. There is a possibility of light rain in many places along with strong winds reaching speeds of 35 kilometers per hour.

IMD Alert for Maharashtra

Maharashtra will experience a mixed bag of weather conditions. An alert for rain with strong winds has been issued in many districts of the state. The IMD also warns of a heat wave affecting many districts. On Monday, hailstorms accompanied by stormy winds hit many parts of the state. Today, rain with stormy winds is expected in Marathwada, Vidarbha, and Central Maharashtra. There is a possibility of rain in Dharashiv, Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, Washim, Sangli, and Solapur.

Chance of Rain and Snowfall in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

According to the Meteorological Department, due to a Western Disturbance, there may be rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh on April 18-20. Additionally, there is a possibility of rain, storms, and snowfall in Uttarakhand on April 19 and 22. Furthermore, rain, thunderstorms, and lightning have been predicted in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Eastern Rajasthan on April 19.

Alert for Storm and Rain in Various States

According to the IMD, strong winds with speeds of 35 kilometers per hour will blow in Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar on April 18 and 19. Additionally, moderate rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds are expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram, with isolated heavy rains likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
