Haryana-Punjab Weather Update Today: Cold day conditions are seen in Haryana and Punjab these days. Due to which people have been forced to shiver. But according to meteorologists, the weather of Haryana is going to change soon. There is a possibility of some relief from cold from January 8. Talking about Punjab, cold wave and dense fog continues to wreak havoc here. Due to lack of sunlight, the normal temperature of Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda and Amritsar reached below 10.3 degrees Celsius on Friday.
Chance of rain till January 10 due to activation of Western Disturbance
In almost all the districts of Haryana, cold has been continuously troubling people for the last 2 weeks. Along with cold wave, fog and cold day continue to wreak havoc. The situation these days is such that by evening a blanket of fog begins to cover the area. Due to fog, even sunlight is not able to come out clearly.
In such a situation, at present there is no possibility of relief for 2 days. A weak Western Disturbance will be active on January 8 due to which there may be light drizzle and rain at isolated places along with cloud movement in the state on January 10. Along with this, there is a possibility of change in temperature also.

Gurdaspur district remained the coldest
Gurdaspur of Punjab remained the coldest on Friday with a temperature of 4.5 degrees Celsius. Due to the increasing cold, the Punjab government has declared holidays for Anganwadi centers till January 14. Along with this, orders have been given to deliver ration at home for small children aged between 3 to 6 years.
At the same time, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of no sunshine in Punjab till January 10, due to which the temperature may fall further. In view of the increasing cold, the Health Department has issued an advisory.
People have been told to come out of their homes only when absolutely necessary. Wear thick clothes to avoid cold wave. Keep drinking lukewarm water from time to time so that there is no shortage of water in the body.
