UAE BAPS Hindu Temple: After a long wait, the newly constructed Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Hindu Temple has been opened for the general public in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Saturday (2 March 2024). The organization has made some important rules for the devotees visiting the temple, which are as follows:  

Some guidelines have been issued by the temple priests for the general public. According to the guidelines issued, only those devotees will be allowed to enter the temple who will be wearing clothes covering their neck, elbows and ankles.

These are the guidelines of BAPS

It was further stated in the guidelines that caps, T-shirts and other clothes with objectionable designs are prohibited in the temple. People wearing netted or see-through and tight-fitting clothes will also not be allowed to enter the temple. Devotees should avoid such clothes and items which can distract the attention of other people. Meditate peacefully in the temple and respect the feelings of others.

Pets are also prohibited 

According to the temple website, it is prohibited to bring pets into the premises. Food or any beverage from outside cannot be brought into the temple premises. Drones are also not allowed in the temple premises. Actually, people of Bochasan usually call Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha by the name BAPS. BAPS is a Hindu religious and social organization founded in 1907 by Shastriji Maharaj, a spiritual saint of Hinduism. About 1,550 temples come under BAPS. 

Historical temples like Akshardham located in the capital Delhi and Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat, come under BAPS. Now a luxurious temple has also been constructed by BAPS in Abu Dhabi. The 108 feet high temple built in UAE was recently unveiled by   the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
