Israel-Lebanon Ceasefire: The highly anticipated ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah is set to take effect from midnight on November 27, marking a crucial step towards de-escalating tensions in the region. This historic agreement reflects significant diplomatic efforts and holds promise for fostering peace and stability along the Israel-Lebanon border. With Israel’s Security Cabinet endorsing the deal, the ceasefire is seen as a pivotal move to prevent further conflicts, ensuring a safer environment for both nations and the region.

1- After the war between Israel and Hezbollah, now neither Israel will bomb Lebanon nor will any attack be made on Israel by Hezbollah.

 
2- Israel’s PM Netanyahu said that we will complete the task of eliminating Hamas, we will bring all the hostages home. We will also ensure that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel and we will safely send the people living in the North back to their homes. 

3- Israel’s PM Netanyahu also cited several reasons for the ceasefire. He said that if we have agreed to this agreement, then one of the reasons is Iran. We want to be able to focus on Iran in the future. I cannot tell you anything more than this right now. 

4- The second reason cited by Netanyahu is to relieve our forces and replenish our reserves. I say it openly, it is no secret that there have been major delays in the delivery of weapons and ammunition. These delays will be resolved soon. We will be supplied with advanced weapons that will keep our soldiers safe and give us more firepower to accomplish our mission.

5- The third reason for the ceasefire is to separate the fronts and isolate Hamas. From the second day of the war, Hamas was relying on Hezbollah to fight on its side. With Hezbollah out of the picture, Hamas is left alone. We will increase our pressure on Hamas and this will help us in our sacred mission of freeing our hostages.

6- US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron said a ceasefire to end hostilities between Israel and Lebanon would protect Israel from the threat posed by the Iran-backed group Hezbollah and create conditions for “lasting peace”. 

7- Biden and Macron said the agreement would “restore lasting peace on both sides of the border and allow residents of both countries to return safely to their homes”. The US, the European Union, the United Nations and the G7 have pressed for a halt to fighting between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon after more than a year of cross-border firing and two months of fierce war.

8- Pressure on Israel to accept the deal has been mounting, with G7 foreign ministers on Tuesday calling for an “immediate ceasefire”. 

9- Following Netanyahu’s speech, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati demanded in a statement that the international community “act swiftly” to ensure the immediate implementation of the ceasefire.

10- Netanyahu hinted at his possible approval for a ceasefire with Hezbollah during security consultations with Israeli officials on Sunday night. Netanyahu’s spokesman said the Israeli cabinet would vote on the proposed agreement on Tuesday and it was expected to pass.
