Nepal Protests For Hindu Rashtra : The demand to end democracy in Nepal and declare it a monarchy and a Hindu nation once again has intensified. Thousands of protesters have been taking to the streets of the capital Kathmandu since last Tuesday and are constantly raising slogans and clashing with the police.
According to the news agency Associated Press (AP), the protesters were trying to reach the Prime Minister’s Office and other government offices. The police used bamboo sticks, tear gas and water cannons to stop the protesters. This protest was being led by Nepal’s National Democratic Party.
