He became emotional and said, “The country has the potential to become a very beautiful nation. We will move forward with whatever path our students show us.”

Who is included in the advisory council?

Mohammad Yunus will be assisted by 16 council members. Two prominent organisers of the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement, Asif Mahmud and Nahid Islam, are also among its members. The members included are: Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Farida Akhtar, Adilur Rahman Khan, AFM Khalid Hussain, Noor Jahan Begum, Sharmin Murshid, Faruk-e-Azam, Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud, Salehuddin Ahmed, Professor Asif Najrul, Hasan Arif, Brigadier General (Retd) M Sakhawat Hussain, Supradip Chakma, Professor Bidhan Ranjan Roy and Tauhid Hussain.

Sheikh Hasina was overthrown

This change has happened in Bangladesh at a time when there is political turmoil there. Recently, Sheikh Hasina had to resign and she also had to leave the country.
