Shoplifting in Britain : The people of the country that once ruled the entire world are now dying of hunger. The situation is such that people are stealing and selling food in the black market. This is the plight of the people of Britain, where there has been a tremendous increase in the cases of shoplifting. People are stealing food items from big shops and selling them in the black market. The inflation prevailing in the country is being blamed for this.

The value of the stolen goods is approximately £ 1 billion.

According to official figures, a record number of shoplifting cases have been registered in Britain. Based on these figures, the Guardian has reported that incidents of theft in big shops are increasing rapidly.

According to estimates by the British Retail Consortium, the value of stolen goods in 2023 is approximately 1 billion pounds ($1.3 billion). Apart from this, the figures of the Home Ministry also show that the figures of shoplifting in the country have crossed record numbers. Besides, the figures of such unsolved incidents are also increasing rapidly.

People stealing things like meat, cheese and sweets

According to the report, the most stolen items include meat, cheese and sweets. Such things are easily sold. People suffering from inflation buy them immediately. These food items are being stolen from shops and trucks.

People are unable to bear the brunt of rising cost of living.

Due to increasing cost of living in Britain, people are now looking for such unique routes. Andrew Goodaker, Chief Executive of the British Independent Retailers Association, said that people are looking for low-cost ways to supply essential goods.

Even in shops where there has never been any theft, people clean out the entire shop in a few seconds. The biggest reason for this is their increasing demand in the black market.

Grocery companies are increasing prices without any reason

According to the report, food prices in the country have increased very rapidly. Food poverty is at its peak in the country. Food banks are also giving people as much food as is necessary for survival. They are not able to get nutritious food from the food bank. People don’t have money. They are tired of dissuading their families, so the number of thefts is increasing.

According to the recent Competition and Market Authority (CMA) report, the country’s big grocery companies are unnecessarily increasing prices rapidly. According to the CMA report, the inflation rate had come down to 10.1 percent in October. But now he is again on a historic high.
