Before the assembly elections, both Thackerays are attacking each other. The fight between the Thackeray brothers is not new. When Raj Thackeray left the Shiv Sena party, he formed his own party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) in 2006. From that time till today, i.e. for 18 years, the whole country is watching the spectacle of the fight between these two brothers.
Who will benefit from the fight between Thackeray brothers?
From Marathi Manus to Hindutva issues, Raj and Uddhav’s party’s agenda was always on the issue. However, Uddhav Thackeray has deviated from the issue of Hindutva. It is clear that the voters of both the parties are going to be divided. In the upcoming assembly elections, the voters of both these parties are bound to be divided. Who will benefit from this? The two brothers or the Mahavikas Aghadi and NDA? Only time will tell.
Who is stronger between Shiv Sena and MNS?
Raj Thackeray contested the assembly elections for the first time in the 2009 elections. At that time, 13 MLAs of Thackeray won, while in the same election, 44 MLAs of Uddhav Thackeray won. In 2014 and 2019, one MLA each was elected from Raj Thackeray’s party. In comparison, 63 MLAs of Uddhav Thackeray won in 2014 and 56 MLAs in 2019. From 2019 to 2020, Uddhav Thackeray was in alliance with BJP and Raj Thackeray has been fighting on his own since the beginning.
The politics of Maharashtra has changed a lot now. Uddhav Thackeray is now with Sharad Pawar and Congress, while his 40 MLAs have rebelled and are with BJP and Ajit Pawar’s party. At the same time, Raj Thackeray is touring Maharashtra and working to keep his party alive on the ground. He had supported the NDA in the Lok Sabha elections . Now Raj Thackeray has decided to contest the assembly elections on his own strength.
Is ‘Khichdi’ assembly election going to be held in Maharashtra?
Therefore, if Raj and Uddhav have a fight, then the new Shiv Sena working for Hindutva and Marathi Manus may benefit the most, which has rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray and joined hands with BJP. This will be the first time where the candidates of Raj Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde will be against each other. Other parties can take advantage of the fight between these three. Therefore, what happens in this khichdi assembly election will be known after its results.
