CSK vs SRH IPL 2024: The 46th match of IPL 2023 was played on Sunday between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad at MA Chidambaram Stadium. Performing brilliantly in this match, the CSK team managed to get its 5th success of the season. At the same time, the SRH team has faced its fourth defeat of the tournament. 

While chasing the target of 213 runs given by CSK, all the batsmen of Hyderabad were seen struggling for runs on the field today. The situation was such that the entire team collapsed for 135 runs in 18.5 overs. Aiden Markram, batting at the fourth position for the team, was the highest scorer. 

Aiden Markram managed to score 32 runs in 26 balls at a strike rate of 123.07. During this, 4 fours came off his bat. Apart from him, Heinrich Klaasen, batting at the sixth position, contributed 20 runs in 21 balls.

Tushar Deshpande was the most successful bowler

Tushar Deshpande was the most successful bowler for Chennai Super Kings in today’s match. He took the maximum 4 wickets by conceding 27 runs in 3 overs. Apart from him, Mustafizur Rahman and Mathisha Pathirana took 2-2 wickets and Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur took 1-1 wickets respectively.

Chennai set a target of 213 runs for Hyderabad

Batting first after losing the toss in the first innings, the Chennai Super Kings team managed to score 212 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Opening the innings for the team, Captain Rituraj Gaikwad appeared in a different style. He faced 54 balls against Hyderabad and contributed 98 runs at a strike rate of 81.48. During this, 10 fours and 3 sixes came off his bat.

Apart from him, Daryl Mitchell batted at the third position and scored a half-century of 52 runs in 32 balls. Mitchell’s excellent innings included 7 fours and 1 six. Apart from these two batsmen, Shivam Dubey batted at the fourth position and scored an unbeaten 39 runs in 20 balls. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T. Natarajan and Jaydev Unadkat took 1-1 wickets respectively against CSK. Kumar dismissed Ajinkya Rahane. While Natarajan trapped captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Unadkat trapped Daryl Mitchell in his net. 

Gaikwad missed a century, out after scoring 98 runs

Rituraj missed the century. He was out on a score of 98 runs. Gaikwad faced 54 balls and hit 10 fours and 3 sixes. Natarajan showed him the way to the pavilion. Now Mahendra Singh Dhoni has come to bat.

Rituraj Gaikwad (captain), Ajinkya Rahane, Daryl Mitchell, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dubey, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (wicketkeeper), Deepak Chahar, Tushar Deshpande, Mustafizur Rahman and Mathisha Pathirana.
