Commission head Ella Pamfilova said that about 76 million people voted for Putin, which is the highest number of votes he has received so far.
Putin’s victory in this election underlines his control over the country’s political system. There were only three nominal candidates facing Putin. Anyone who opposed the Ukraine war was not allowed to run against Putin.
